Great question! Each individual ranges based with how much collagenesis is desirable. A good rule of thumb for the face is that you will need a vial per decade of life. So, if you are 40 years old, ideally, 4 vials would be optimal. Typically, 2 vials are injected per session at least 3 months apart. Again, more or less may be needed.

Sculptra is mixed with lidocaine and although you can feel the injections, most people do not complain of it being too painful. No other anesthesia it typically needed. We will do whatever we can to mitigate discomfort with ice, vibrating distractor tools, etc.
