Sculptra is one of the most unique dermal injectables on the aesthetic market. Originally created for HIV/AIDS patients, Sculptra is an injectable that aids your body in producing it’s OWN natural collagen. This FDA approved injectable subtly and naturally restores facial volume over time. Again, with Sculptra it is not instant, but gradual improvement of collagen loss. Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and is injected into the deep dermis of the face or body. With Sculptra, you will never look “filled”, but you will leave your friends wondering why you look so good!

Sculptra is individually tailored to restore volume where you need it the most! Typically one vial of Sculptra is injected in each side of your face with areas of focus being the temples, cheeks, cheek hollows, marionette lines and nasolabial folds. Two total vials are usually injected per treatment. Results last 2-3 years.

Great question! Each individual ranges based with how much collagenesis is desirable. A good rule of thumb for the face is that you will need a vial per decade of life. So, if you are 40 years old, ideally, 4 vials would be optimal. Typically, 2 vials are injected per session at least 3 months apart. Again, more or less may be needed.
Typically, results are seen around the 3 month mark.
Results can last up to 2-3 years!
Sculptra is mixed with lidocaine and although you can feel the injections, most people do not complain of it being too painful. No other anesthesia it typically needed. We will do whatever we can to mitigate discomfort with ice, vibrating distractor tools, etc.
Swelling and bruising vary person to person, but are extremely common with ANY injectables. At AIVE we take the best measures to prevent or halt bruises as much as we can! A realistic rule of thumb when it comes to bruises is: plan for the worst and we help achieve the best!
Sculptra has its own unique protocol for aftercare. We will be having you massage it according to the 5-5-5 rule: massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days. Don’t worry, we will show you exactly how to do this!
