Platelet Rich Fibrin
Platelet Rich Fibrin (Prf)
The future for injectables begins here! With platelet rich fibrin (PRF), we are using YOUR own body to restore and rejuvenate you! Natural and subtle volume restoration and tightening is the key to maintaining your beauty over time. PRF is obtained from drawing your blood, spinning it down, and injecting the platelet rich fibrin matrix back into you. Once inside your skin, PRF releases growth factors and inflammatory intermediates to accelerate wound healing. In addition, your body’s natural mesenchymal stem cells, found in PRF, renew tissue wherever it is injected! The most beautiful part about PRF, unlike the commonly used platelet rich plasma (PRP), is that PRF releases growth factors over a course of 10-12 days! So, for 10-12 days, your body is sending messages to renew and repair. The end product is better, more noticeable results with PRF! PRP, on the other hand, is only capable of releasing growth factors over hours, not days. This makes all the difference in your results. PRF can be used for would healing, scar minimizing, hair loss, dark eye circles, facial restoration, and as an autologous (obtained from your body) filler. At AIVE, to keep you timeless, we use PRF as follows:
PRF will be strategically placed in areas of your face to restore collagen, improve texture and tighten the skin. PRF can be injected under the eyes to tighten skin and fine lines as well as restore discoloration under the eyes from dark circles. Results are usually noticed between 4-8 months. A blood draw is required so please come hydrated.
PRF is focused under the eyes and is injected to tighten skin and fine lines as well as restore discoloration under the eyes from dark circles. A blood draw is required so please come hydrated.
Today’s beauty trends are to have full, gorgeous brows. PRF is injected into both brows to stimulate hair growth. To really see the magic of PRF, a series of 3+ treatments are usually recommended 4-6 weeks apart. Please come hydrated for your blood draw.
Are you thinning? Or do you just want to jump start healthier hair growth? Trust us, we understand! PRF’s magical growth factors, mesenchymal stem cells, and white blood cells nourish your hair follicles and act as local stem cells promoting new hair growth. Usually, results can be seen with just one treatment but it is typically recommended to have a series of 3-5 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. Individual results can vary. Please come hydrated for your blood draw.
Platelets are cells found in our blood that are responsible for creating a platelet plug to stop wound bleeding. Once a platelet plug is formed, growth factors and chemical substances called cytokines, chemokines, and leukotrienes are released by both the platelets and the surrounding white blood cells to promote wound healing. This is all a part of the natural process to heal ourselves. With PRF, we harness the power of wound healing for our anti-again benefit! Blood is drawn from your arm and spun down to separate the PRF, white blood cells, plasma, and mesenchymal stem cells from the red blood cells. This mixture is what is used to promote cellular growth and renewal wherever it is injected. Once inside your skin, PRF releases growth factors and inflammatory intermediates to accelerate cellular renewal! For you, this means brighter skin, fine line and wrinkle reduction, a more youthful texture and tone, hair restoration and more! Results, of course, are individual. This treatment has minimal downtime is quick, and requires no surgery or anesthesia.
Results are usually seen as early as 3-4 months, but may also need up to 9 months for cellular renewal/regrowth.
PRF results can be long-lasting. Individual results vary.
PRF has little to no downtime. Downtime is usually measured by bruising or swelling. Bruising and swelling is likely after any injectable so please plan life events accordingly. A good rule of thumb is to plan 2 weeks ahead of any event.
Hydrate yourself! We will be drawing 15-50 cc’s of your blood so make sure you drink plenty of water for a successful blood draw. In addition, hydration has been shown to improve your results. It is recommended to begin hydrating yourself 72 hours prior to your treatment. This means for women, drinking 10-11 cups of water or uncaffeinated fluids per day, and for men drinking about 15 cups of water or uncaffeinated fluids per day. Furthermore, to improve your chances of NOT bruising, avoid ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, prescription blood thinners, supplements like garlic, ginseng, or ginkgo or anything that will potentiate a bruise.
