Filler Restore FAQs
Yes! The majority of the dermal fillers on the market today are made up of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a molecule that holds onto 1000x more water than its weight. So, dermal fillers restore volume by hydrating the area where we are injecting. They are 100% part of the natural makeup of our skin. When it comes to health and wellness, this is our favorite part here at AIVE! In addition, calcium based fillers are also derived from the matrix of our bone. These too are natural and 100% safe to use in their designated areas!
Most dermal fillers last 1-2 years. Layering dermal fillers can elongate their duration of action.
Unless you are doing your neck or cellulite, results are immediate!
Give yourself 2 weeks to month before any major event like a wedding, vacation, reunion, etc. This will allow time to heal from swelling and bruises and make sure you feel like yourself before the event!
Swelling and bruising vary person to person, but are extremely common with ANY injectables. At AIVE we take the best measures to prevent or halt bruises as much as we can! A realistic rule of thumb when it comes to bruises is: plan for the worst and we help achieve the best!
To improve your chances of NOT bruising, avoid ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, prescription blood thinners, supplements like garlic, ginseng, or ginkgo or anything that will potentiate a bruise. If lips are on your agenda, come 20 mins early to hang out with us while numbing your lips if you desire!
Avoid too much heat to your face or body for the first 24 hours post treatment. Hot tubs, saunas, heavy working out, anything that flushes your face should be avoided for the first 24 hours to extend the life of your fillers.
